By the initiative of Ministry of Innovation and Technology and the National Data Economy Knowledge Center, the Blockchain Coalition was established on March 8, 2022. Among the founding members of the organization are actors from the public sector, scientific and academic institutions, professional and civil organizations and also the forprofit business sector representatives.

Blockchain for the economy

The founders of the Blockchain Coalition accept that blockchain technology had reached the stage of development and acceptance that makes it clear that it has become a strong factor in international economic competition, its applications can be a strategic goal for the world's leading economies. Blockchain's global economic importance is partly based on the fact, that it can enhance cross-border and/or autonomous transactions and supply chains.

The Founders standpoint is that Hungary can gain outstanding position internationally in utilisation of DLT-based solutions. Blockchain Coalition performs activities provides support in the fields of knowledge dissemination, legal support, research and development and service development, by its member organisations.
